The 5th International Conference on Mechanical Engineering, Intelligent Manufacturing and Automation Technology (MEMAT 2024) Concludes Successfully in Nanjing.

On December 28, 2024, the 5th International Conference on Mechanical Engineering, Intelligent Manufacturing and Automation Technology (MEMAT 2024) was successfully held at the Fengxian Hall, Tianfeng Hotel, Nanjing. The conference brought together experts, scholars, and industry professionals from universities, research institutes, and enterprises across China to engage in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge technologies and applications in mechanical engineering and intelligent manufacturing.

The conference commenced at 8:00 AM under the moderation of Professor Mouquan Shen from Nanjing Tech University. Following the opening ceremony, Professor Ben Niu from Dalian University of Technology delivered a keynote speech titled “Research Progress of Adaptive Control for Nonlinear Switched Systems,” sharing the latest advances in control theory. This was succeeded by a presentation from Professor Yunqing Rao of Huazhong University of Science and Technology on “Production Optimization Technologies for Intelligent Manufacturing of Heavy Industry Equipment,” showcasing innovative applications in industrial manufacturing.

The tea break and poster session provided a valuable opportunity for attendees to network and exchange ideas. Professor Mouquan Shen then spoke on “Research on Key Techniques of Intelligent Manufacturing with Optimization Consideration,” exploring core optimization technologies in intelligent manufacturing.

A series of 12 oral presentations followed, featuring young researchers from Shanghai Maritime University, Yanshan University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and other institutions. Their research covered diverse topics including ultrasonic three-dimensional measurement methods, parallel mechanism design, motor control, and mold design, which drew enthusiastic discussion and engagement from the audience.
